Third Space has just opened its first dedicated HYROX Training Space. Purpose-built to elevate performance and redefine functional fitness. To mark the occasion, we sat down with Chris Stanton, Third Space Master Trainer, for an insider’s take on all things HYROX.

Chris shares how this new space will challenge members in new ways, build endurance and unlock a new level of athletic potential. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or new to the format, our HYROX space is set to change the game in your training journey.

What is HYROX Training Space, and what can members expect?

“Our HYROX Training Space is a dedicated training zone. A playground for functional fitness and race-specific training. It’s a performance-driven environment designed to meet the demands of HYROX competitions, helping members push their limits and achieve real results. Expect an energetic, immersive space to motivate and maximise every session.”

What inspired the decision to create a dedicated HYROX Training Space?

“With HYROX growing in popularity and more members training for it, we wanted to create a space that fully supports that journey. Having a dedicated area brings the HYROX experience to life in a focused, motivating setting, with all the essential equipment in one place to make training easier and more efficient.”

How is the space designed for HYROX training?

“The space features essential HYROX equipment like SkiErgs, Assault Runners, rowers and wall balls, many the exact same as you would use on race day. The six-lane sled track mimics the official HYROX specification to ensure race-day realism in training.”

Is HYROX training suitable for all fitness levels?

“Absolutely, whether you’re just getting started or fine-tuning your race-day strategy, HYROX training can be scaled to your ability. The structured format makes it accessible, with our expert coaches there to help guide and challenge you.”

What classes will be offered?

“We’ll offer three classes: HYROX Engine, HYROX Power, and HYROX 90. HYROX Engine is programmed to develop cardiovascular fitness, HYROX Power builds lasting explosive power, and HYROX 90 brings it all together in a longer, 90-minute session to replicate race-day fatigue.

The classes target skill development such as sled technique or rowing efficiency, endurance-focused sessions and strength-based training. Outside of scheduled classes, members will have access to an open training environment and personal training support.”

How does HYROX build community?

“HYROX thrives on shared experience. The accessible, consistent format builds a sense of mutual respect and appreciation. Many members go on to compete together, forming training partnerships and even travelling as teams. Everyone’s going through the same challenge and that creates strong bonds.

The new HYROX Training Space is available at Third Space Canary Wharf for Wharf and Group members. Designed to elevate your performance, this dedicated area is perfect for those looking to take their training to the next level. Speak to our team today to upgrade your membership or find out more.
