James holds two degrees: a BSc Physiotherapy undergraduate degree from the University of Nottingham, as well as a Masters in Sports Medicine from Queen Mary University. He is an experienced physiotherapist specialising in the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal pain, sports injuries, joint and muscle problems, and persistent pain. He helps patients understand the cause of their symptoms, reduce pain and return to the activities that matter to them.
James has developed extensive experience in elite sport. He began working as a first-team physiotherapist at Blackheath Rugby Club in the National One Rugby Union League before moving into elite football. He has since worked as an academy physiotherapist at both Arsenal Football Club and Crystal Palace Football Club.
Alongside his work in elite sport, James began his career in the NHS, where he treated a wide range of musculoskeletal and rheumatological conditions, alongside complex and persistent pain presentations. This has given him extensive experience managing both acute injuries and longer-term conditions.
James combines his clinical experience with the practical approach developed through working in elite sport. His aim is to provide personalised, evidence-based treatment and rehabilitation, helping patients move with confidence, get back to sport and return to the activities they enjoy.
