Black Lives Matter

On May 25th George Floyd was murdered by Minneapolis police officers. And just as the world is working out the best way to react, so are we.

This is not our normal service: of course it isn’t, these are extraordinary times. That being said, our aim is always to help members learn and improve. Education is the first step towards dismantling racial injustice; education combined with action.

Below you’ll read what we plan to do in the short term while we take time to consider the actions that need to be implemented in the long term. If any member would like to let us know how you think Third Space can create meaningful and lasting change, we’d love to hear from you. We’ve also compiled a list of useful resources – books to read, people to follow, charities to support – that can help to turn your good intentions into real life progress.

Today we’re stepping outside of our comfort zone with you in the hope that by pushing this agenda, together with the rest of society, we can make a change that finally sticks. The hope is to create a new normal where, at last, everyone is equal.

What We Are Doing Right Now:

We are using this time to look at our long-term commitment to diversity within our organisation and the wider industry. If any member reading this would like to have a conversation about creating meaningful and lasting change, we’d love to hear from you.

On Monday the 8th of June 2020 we are asking all participants of our Instagram live classes to make a voluntary donation to a cause that fights racial injustice, we have made three suggestions below. All donations are welcome.

As mentioned, this is just the beginning and we know you’ll support us in doing more.
