What is your favourite exercise?

Squats are the boss. For lifestyle, you can’t beat single leg squat

What has been your favourite moment/highlight of being a PT?

Seeing change. Each time I can educate someone on strength training and the reason why intensity is so important and I see a light bulb switch on. The reward of providing a new understanding to someone. In a world where we feel lost in fitness and nutrition myths and fads, I can strip things back to basics so it’s so easy and logical to understand... that most people can't believe it!

Trainer Bio

At 58 years old, it is not possible to dismiss the philosophy that Fitz creates and endorses, as proof himself that he has the body and energy of someone 30 years his junior. From a young age, sport has always been part of his life. At the age of 15, he won the London Boys Club leagues in Triple Jump and Boxing, later going on to represent London in the Nationals winning the Triple Jump championship title and becoming a finalist in the Boxing. He continued his athletics training during a career stint in banking, reaching the senior British division 1st league.

His move to a full time career in fitness slowly transitioned over a couple of years, as his popularity teaching group dance and circuit classes increased at his local gyms. Drawing on becoming a successful Ultrafit competitor and travelling the international convention scene, influenced his thought process which resulted in Fitz pioneering his own group weight training system. It was the unique systems and classes that he was pioneering that drew Third Space to recruit him as their studio class master trainer. Fifteen years on, he considers Third Space home to his weekly classes and personal training clients.
